The Venture Garden Group has made its mark on the African economy. It’s a group holding conglomerate that consists of several technological entities. The group helps startups and potential business owners to scale their revenue and increase visibility while providing results-driven solutions to African problems. Its impact is felt across companies in finances, power sector, investments, education, and so on. The Venture Garden Group also has several companies from many industries underneath its wings,  including education, logistics, financial services, energy, health, transportation, cleaning and laundering services, education and more, and it is helping them to achieve their aims and goals.

How is the Venture Garden Group creating limitless opportunities for startups?

1)      With the aid of Collaboration

One of the main objectives of any African startup is to be visible. Thus, if the startup is solving a major socio-economic challenge, VGG can extend the offer of collaboration. Collaborating with a conglomerate like VGG won't only expose the talents of the startups but also give them the chance to network. This collaboration will go a long way for any startup in Africa and can be the breakthrough it needs.

2)      Funding

The Venture Garden Group helps startups with the funding they need to set up their businesses. Now, this isn’t the “Father Christmas” sort of thing. It involves getting a chance to present your idea to the co-founders of the group. If you’re lucky and your idea is a solution to a challenge and can bring in more revenue, the group can provide funding. Also, VGG provides funding to some known startups to help them achieve their goals.

An example of the administrative workplace given to Chess In Slum in the Vibranium Valley. The workplace will be used to train young minds from Chess In Slums and also serve as a place for ideas to become a reality. To represent the Lagos State government, Vice President and politician, Yemi Osinbajo was present to commission the place.

3)     Hackathons

By organizing hackathons, Venture Garden Group also creates opportunities for startups. These hackathons are a good way of listening to different talents and points of view on a particular challenge. Hence, the organization can choose the winners and give them prizes that can serve as footholds for their businesses.

A good example is the Smart Meter Hackathon organized by the Lagos State government and VGG partnered with them. It was a scheme to provide a solution to the epileptic power supply faced by Lagosians in Nigeria. Both individuals and startups took part in the competition and there were three winners, Nigerian and Kenyan. The solution provided at this hackathon will solve a problem, provide the winning startups with amazing opportunities and expose other startups to new ideas and encourage them to expand their horizon.
