Fast-rising artist, Ayomide Akinsanya, popularly known as Fxckingcube has officially dropped his deeply personal and musically evolving project, “All of Me.” Having recently completed a successful media run, Fxckingcube is opening up about the pivotal moments that defined his career, the project’s intimate narrative, and the future of his increasingly structured and globally- minded sound, spearheaded by his partnership with Frederick Brai of ColorMeWild Entertainments.
The Journey: From Hobby to Profession
For many fans, the journey of an artist is as compelling as the music itself. Fxckingcube shared the moment he knew his path lay in music:
“The moment I knew music was more than a hobby was when I realized the power it had to tell my story and connect with people. It became an essential form of self-expression and my truth.”
Defining the Sound: Structure Meets Style
Fxckingcube describes his core genre as “a blend between hip-hop and trap,” but notes a deliberate and intentional evolution in his latest work:
“My earliest sound was raw, untamed, and unfiltered. Now, it’s much more structured, but still maintains that core style. The biggest shift is my focused effort on making it more mainstream- friendly, specifically by blending Afrobeats into the sound.”
The artist credits a diverse roster of influences for shaping his unique approach, including U.S. legends Future, Pusha T, and Jay-Z, alongside Nigerian powerhouses Wizkid, Burna Boy, Reminisce, and Olamide.
“All of Me”: The Story Behind the Project
The project, “All of Me,” was conceived during a formative period in Lagos and carries a powerful double meaning:
“I made ‘All of Me’ while deciding to fully commit to music. It was initially influenced by a girl I was with at the time. I painted the narrative like I was talking about her, but the truth is, I was the message at the end of the day. It’s about giving my complete self to the music.”
The recording process for this project was marked by intentional experimentation:
“I experimented a lot on this project; it’s notably more Afro-influenced compared to my previous work. The lyrics, the beats, the structure, it was all intentional. The most challenging part was making the track “One of One”; we actually released the fifth version of that song to get it right.”
When asked to select the track that best captures his current artistic identity, Fxckingcube pointed to “Twin Flame,” stating it “shows my unorthodox approach and where I’m at right now.” Reaction, Partnership, and the Road Ahead Since its release, the project has received positive feedback, particularly for the songs Twin Flame and One of One.
“The most meaningful feedback has been the praise for the songwriting. I intentionally put in a lot of effort to improve my songwriting skills and hearing fans and media notice that has been truly rewarding.”
The artist attributes the new structure and focus to the partnership between CubeEnt and Frederick Brai of ColorMeWild Entertainments:
“Before I met Fred, I was freestyling everything. Since meeting him, we’ve put a real structure in place together. I wish we started sooner, but I’m happy we’re working now. He’s been a blessing, and he knows it because I always tell him.”
Looking ahead, FxckingCube is focused on execution:
“I recently dropped a song called ‘Real Trap Shit’, and the music video for ‘One of One’ is coming out next year. The listeners always love my trap songs; another body of work is coming out on the 8th of December, and I have a show coming up soon.”
For a dream collaboration, the artist is clear: “Future is who I’d pick. He represents where I want to be right now, especially career-wise.”
A Message to the Fans: Going Straight to the Top
Reflecting on his journey, Fxckingcube is focused on building a lasting legacy:
“In five years, I want to have a solid fan base, and the legacy I’m trying to leave is a message for people to know they can achieve whatever they put their mind to. I held myself back for a while, and now I’m happy I’m going after my dreams.”
To the fans, Fxckingcube offered a powerful closing statement:
“To everyone who has been with me from the start, I’m grateful you saw the vision. And to the new fans onboard, it’s not too late! I appreciate every support I’m getting. If you’re with me, we’re going straight to the top”
