Fast-rising Afrobeat artist Johnson Tochukwu, popularly known as JohnTill, is making waves in the music industry with his unique sound, energetic performances, and inspiring life story. Originally from Enugu State, Nigeria, JohnTill is currently based in Germany, where he continues to build his music career.
Born in 2004, JohnTill's journey to Europe was far from easy. In search of a better future, he embarked on a dangerous migration route, traveling on foot through the desert, spending over a year in Libya, and risking his life while crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
In 2022, he was among over 360 migrants rescued at sea by the Italian search-and-rescue vessel Geo Barents after being stranded on the Mediterranean for five days. The emotional experience gained widespread attention and later became the inspiration behind his latest hit single, "Kpokirikpo."
Today, JohnTill is managed by Dinbeatz Recordz Management, led by renowned producer, songwriter, and vocalist Mr. Dinbeatz. Over the years, Dinbeatz has worked with notable Nigerian artists including Yomi Sars (Gucci Maneko), Seriki Omo Owo, Small Doctor, Danny S, YQ, Klever Jay, and Bolo Jay, among others.
